SIGN OF THE ARROW
Established in 1966 by the Saint Louis Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi to provide philanthropic support to the community, Sign of the Arrow is St. Louis' premiere needlepoint and gift shop. The shop is staffed by 100+ Pi Phi alumnae and community volunteers who give 22,000+ hours annually; all proceeds benefit local charities. Since its beginning in 1966, Sign of the Arrow has donated more than $4 million to charitable causes and has supported the educational programs of Pi Beta Phi.
How can I support Sign of the Arrow?
In April 2023, the Board of Directors established an endowment fund to enhance the Sign of the Arrow’s philanthropic mission and sustain it well into the future. The Sign of the Arrow Board feels an endowment fund is the most effective way to support continued giving year to year. The fund will be professionally managed, with proceeds used solely to supplement the shop’s philanthropic grants.
Our goal is to raise $1 million by the Sign of the Arrow’s 60th Anniversary in October of 2026. We would be honored if you would join the campaign to raise this endowment.
Gifts to the endowment can be outright, as a pledge to be paid over a period of time, or as part of an estate plan. Gifts are tax deductible and may be designated in memory or in honor of someone. Members of the Sign of the Arrow and the Pi Phi Alumnae Club Boards have already contributed. We hope you will join us as well, helping Sign of the Arrow carry out its mission of grants to local and Pi Beta Phi charities.
